I broke the rock of Diamond Head today.

本日ダイヤモンドヘッドの岩石を砕きました。

This is the rock of Diamond Head.

ダイヤモンドヘッドの岩石です。

I break this with a hammer.

これを金槌で砕きます。

And it is put in a pot mill.

そしてポットミルへ入れます。

I covered it and raised.

蓋をして持ち上げました。

My rib sounded.

その時です。

私の肋骨が鳴ったのです。

My rib is becoming painful gradually.

だんだん痛くなっています。

I may have suffered a fracture.

骨折したかもしれません。

And I thought that this was a curse of Hawaii.

そしてこれはハワイの祟りだと思ったのです。

When I am worried,

My wife said.

" It is accidental. Don't worry! ! "

 私が恐れていると、

家内が言ってくれました。

「たまたまや、心配しなくていい！！」

I went to the tea ceremony of New Year's Eve today.

本日私は除夜釜に行きました。

The place is Mr. Randy's cafe.

場所はランディーさんのカフェです。

The participant ate Japanese sweets

 after buckwheat noodles.

蕎麦を食べた後、お菓子が出されました。

And we went to the second floor

and the tea ceremony started them.

そして２階に行きお点前が始ります。

It is a visionary atmosphere there.

そこは幻想的な雰囲気です。

I am the 4th attendance in this time.

今回で私は４回目の出席です。

This event is pleasure every year.

この催しは毎年楽しみです。

Incidentally Mr. Matsumoto of Guilo Guilo

 is learning from Mr. Randy.

ちなみに枝魯枝魯の松本さんが、

ランディーさんに茶道を習っています。

The character with which

I am most pleased this year is Sadaharu.

今年一番のお気に入りのキャラクターは「さだはる」です。

It is a dog which appears on Gintama of anime.

アニメ銀魂に出てくる犬です。

The conversation with the second daughter of me and me became lively thanks to this dog.  

 この犬のおかげで、次女との会話が弾みます。

 And I searched Sadaharu with the Internet.

 そして私は「さだはる」を検索しました。

Then, Sadaharu Aoki was displayed.

するとサダハル・アオキが出てきました。

Mr Sadaharu Aoki is a patissier of activity in Paris.

サダハル・アオキさんとはパリで活躍中のパティシエです。

I got to know the good person.

I went to the tea ceremony which opens

the lid of the jar of green tea yesterday.

昨日口切の茶事へ行きました。

Kuchikiri is a ceremony in which

the lid of the jar of new green tea is opened.

口切とは新茶の茶壷の蓋を開ける儀式です。

And pleasure of my tea ceremony is kaiseki cuisine.

そして私のお茶事の楽しみは茶懐石です。

Rice is delicious anyhow.

とにかく御飯が美味しいです。

This course dish continues after this.

この後コース料理が続きます。

Many sake is also drunk.

日本酒も多く飲まれます。

It is the sake of the fin of a globefish

 which I remember with favorite sake.

日本酒と言えばフグのヒレ酒ですね。

I looked at the dream last night.

昨日夢を見ました。

The dream in which the pottery

using the clay of the rice field is failing --

先日紹介した日本酒美丈夫が育った土で作った

グイノミが失敗する夢...。

The dream became actual.

正夢です。

This is a nightmare truly.

 まさしく悪夢です。

However, I regained for it my footing

and finished my dream.

しかし私の見た夢は、

私が立ち直って終了しました。

Please expect future me！！

乞うご期待を！！ 

I worked restoration mostly this year.

今年は修復の仕事が多かったです。

As for them, the chipped thing,

the thing broken in pieces, etc. are various.

少しだけ欠けた物や、粉々に割れた物など

色々です。

In the case of the chipped thing,

I flatten using alumina first.

一部が欠けた物は、

最初にアルミナを使って平らにします。

Then, this is put into kiln.

この後、窯に入れます。

Japanese lacquer is applied there, after applying heat.

熱処理した後、漆を塗ります。

And gold dust is sprinkled.

そして金粉を振りかけます。

It becomes such after paying gold dust.

金粉を払うと、このようになります。

The feeling that clients request restoration,

It will be pottery very important for those who are using it.

修復を依頼されるということは、

その人にとって大切な思い入れがある焼物なのでしょう。

Work of restoration is also worthwhile work.

この仕事、やりがいのある仕事です。

I introduce my favorite restaurant.

お気に入りのお店を紹介します。

最初に酉文 京都です。

The beer of this restaurant is the cheapest

restaurant at the Kyoto Shijo .

京都四条でビールが一番安い店です。

Of course, the taste is good.

Everybody knows. Sake is made from rice.

皆さんご存じのように、日本酒は米から作られます。

This is clay of the rice field for sake.

これは日本酒が育った田んぼの土です。

I am going to use this and to make the tableware of sake.

私はこの土を使って、酒器を創ります。

There is no stickiness most important for the clay of pottery.

陶磁器の粘土にとって一番重要な粘りがありません。

This is difficult work.

これは大変な仕事です。

The experiment was successful at last.

ついに実験が成功しました。

It is baking of the slice of opal.

オパールのスライスの焼き付けです。

It was required to the success for one year.

成功まで１年かかりました。

Preparation of glaze, temperature to burn,

釉薬の調合、焼成温度、

I have to tune finely.

微調整しなければなりません。

And I am going to make the work of high quality.

そして高品質の作品を創ります。

The future is pleasant.

未来とは楽しいものです。

The future of this is my future.

これの未来は私の未来です。

There was symposium of a climbing kiln today.

本日登り窯のシンポジウムがありました。

It is a climbing kiln of Gojo-zaka.

五条坂の登り窯です。

Of course, this climbing kiln is stopped now.

もちろんこの登り窯は焼かれていません。

It is an inspection meeting of a climbing kiln.

登り窯の見学会です。

Symposium was held after that.

その後シンポジウムが開催されました。

Smoke and a smell are problems when using a climbing kiln.

I attended the Kyoto traditional-handicrafts

young men's association's year-end party today.

今日京都伝統産業青年会の忘年会へ行きました。

I danced happily.

私は楽しく踊りました。

However, I am 50 years old.

しかしながら私は５０歳です。

I say to a young person like Toshirou Mifune of a movie.

私は映画の三船敏郎のように若い人に言います。

"Good-bye."

I negotiated with many people today.

本日は多くの人と交渉をしました。

They are all the matters of

the Kyoto young people's association object meeting.

ほとんど京都青年団体会議の案件です。

A point in case I negotiate with people is

becoming useful for a partner.

私は人と交渉するときは、相手にとって

有益になることを考えます。

Probably, Mr. Tellem also chose

 the way where Matsui can shine.

おそらく大リーグ交渉人のテレム氏も

松井選手が輝ける道を選んだのでしょう。

I talked with Guilo Guilo, Ms. Kanbara, and Urasenke today.

今日は枝魯枝魯さん、カンバラさん、裏千家さんと話しました。

I have to do useful work for those people.

皆さんにとって有意義となる仕事をしなければなりません。

There was a trade fair of my local association today.

本日私の地元の組合の見本市がありました。

I exhibited the new color and the small mug this time.

私は今回新色と小ぶりのマグカップを展示しました。

The result was so so.

結果はまあそこそこでした。

I mastered various techniques in this year.

この一年間いろいろなテクニックを習得しました。

From now on, I will make many new works.

わたしはこれから多く新作を創っていきます。

Some mosaic arts are due to be made at my local association.

私の地元の組合で、モザイクアートを作ります。

We make this with pottery.

我々はこれを焼物で作ります。

One circle is a button.

一つの丸がボタンです。

I make a snowy portion.

私は雪の部分を作ります。

You will think that white is easy.

皆さんは白い部分は簡単と思うでしょう。

However, a white portion is difficult.

しかしながら白い部分は難しいです。

I am going to do a slightly complicated thing.

However, a chopstick rest is not used.

茶懐石では折敷（おしき）という盆を使って、

箸置は使いません。

Original trays without legs is used in Guilo Guilo in Hawaii.

ハワイのギロギロではオリジナルの折敷を使います。

And a chopstick rest is not used.

そして箸置は使いません。

Therefore, a chopstick rest is not stolen.

よって箸置は盗まれないのです。

There was an event of the tea ceremony at Sanda today.

本日三田市で茶道のイベントがありました。

It is an event which invites Dr. Genshitu Sen

千玄室大宗匠を招いてのイベントです。

He is fine anyhow.  

とにかく大宗匠は元気です。

It was for two days with various things.

いろんなことがあった２日間でした。

また明日。

It is the information on Guilo Guilo in Paris.

Many chopstick rests are stolen anyhow.

パリのギロギロの情報です。

とにかく箸置が盗まれます。

Then, I discovered the method which is not stolen.

そこで私は盗まれない方法を思いつきました。

I took out the opal from kiln today.

１月９日、本日オパールの窯出しをしました。

My anticipation was betrayed and they were almost failure.  

予想を裏切りほとんど失敗でした。

However, light looks small.

しかしながら僅かに光が見えます。

I challenge again, without giving up.  

あきらめずにまたチャレンジします。

The experiment was successful at last on December 11 today.

今日１２月１１日、ついに実験が成功しました。

It was good without giving up truly.

本当に諦めないで良かったです。

Now, I commercialize it next.

さあ、次は商品化です。

I am going to hold a private exhibition in Tokyo from January 21 to the 27th.

１月２１日から２７日まで東京で個展を開催します。

The place is Keio Dept Store in Shinjuku.

場所は新宿の京王百貨店です。

It is pleasure that I can meet the people of Kanto.

関東の人と会えるのが楽しみです。

Of course, new work is also exhibited.

The PR campaign of the Kyoto young people's

association object meeting was started.

京都青年団体会議のPR活動が開始されました。

The students of Kyoto Women's University visited my studio today.

今日は京都女子大学の学生さんたちが私の工房を訪れました。

I turned the potter's wheel, after explaining Kyoto ceramic ware.

京焼の説明をした後、轆轤を回しました。

Probably, I need to let many young people know the charm of the pottery of Kyoto much more.

もっともっと多くの若い人に京都の焼物の魅力を知ってもらう必要があるでしょう。

It is the start from there.

 そこからがスタートです。

I went to the Christmas tea ceremony of Urasenke Midorikai today.

本日は裏千家みどり会主催のクリスマス茶会に行ってきました。

It is an alcove of the waiting room.

待合の床です。

It is made in Germany.

ドイツ製です。

This is the vase made in Poland.

ポーランド製の花入です。

This is the made in Russia.

ロシア製です。

This is the wine cup made in Germany.

ドイツ製のワインカップです。

Although the tool was also interesting,

the atmosphere of the tea ceremony was pleasant.

道具も面白かったですが、

お茶会の雰囲気がとにかく楽しかったです。

I went to Osaka today in order to look at the game of woman boxing.

今日私は女子ボクシングの試合を観るため大阪に行きました。

The match was Etsuko Tada versus Naomi Togashi.

試合は多田悦子対富樫直美でした。

Both persons are world champions.

二人とも世界チャンピオンです。

It is a battle in which it cannot lose mutually today.

今日はお互いに負けることのできない一戦です。

In the end of a good match, the result was a draw.

熱戦の末、結果は引き分けでした。

It is at the end time of 5 rounds, and there was a middle announcement of grading.

５ラウンド終了時点で採点の中間発表がありました。

 Also in my company, interim closing is already announced.

私の会社もすでに中間決算が発表されています。

I as well as Tada catch up in the second half.

私もまた多田選手と同じように後半追い上げます。 

Young acquaintances came for the visit to my studio today.

今日私の工房に若き知人たちが訪問に来ました。

They are the students who were together at the Urasenke Hawaii seminar in July, this year.

彼らは今年の7月の裏千家ハワイセミナーで一緒だった学生さん達です。

About 30 years old of age of me and them is different.

私と彼らの年齢は約30歳違います。

However, the talk became lively with feeling like a friend.

しかしながら友達のような感覚で話が弾みました。

Since everybody respects, I think that conversation is pleasant.

皆が尊敬しているから会話が楽しいと私は思います。

It is the soul of the tea ceremony surely.

それがまさしく茶道の精神ですね。 

I attended the year-end party of JOC of alumnus today.

今日私はJOCのOBの忘年会に行きました。

JOC is the organization of the junior owner of the Kyoto Shinkin Bank.

JOCとは京都信用金庫ジュニアオーナーズクラブの

略です。

By chance, I met the husband of my wife's cousin.

偶然にも私の家内の従妹の旦那に会いました。

I will report details tomorrow.

詳しいことは明日報告します。

I went to Gion on this daytime.

It is the restaurant "kanikakuni" along Gion Shirakawa.

There was a telephone from Mr. Edakuni of Paris today.

今日パリの枝國さん（枝魯枝魯のオーナー）から電話がありました。

Of course, the contents are the restaurants in Hawaii.

もちろん中身はハワイの店のことです。

We spoke about many things from the thing of the chopsticks used at a restaurant to the thing of the capital for a short time.

ハワイ店で使う箸のことから資本金のことまで多くのことを短時間で話しました。

One of the points that I get along well with Mr. Edakuni is speed.

枝國さんと私の気が合う点の一つはスピードです。

Mr. Edakuni thinks that there is no speed about the event on February 20.

2月20日のイベントに関して、枝國さんはスピードがないと感じています。

Since "the maple festival" finished, I gather speed towards February 20.  

「もみじまつり」も終わったことなので、2月20日に向けてスピードを上げていきます。

来年2月20日の京都青年団体会議の

イベント会場である京都「都メッセ」に行きました。

とにかくだだっ広いです。

今日は記念式典、懇親会班が

会場視察に来ました。

当日はパリからギロギロの枝國さんをはじめ、

錚々たる料理人をお呼びして、面白い

企画をする予定です。

また特別ゲストで杉本彩さんも来ていただく予定です。

いよいよ2月20日のゴールに向かってスタートした気分です。
