It is a main dish of Giro Giro in September.

フカヒレのカツが入った鍋です。

This is the bouillabaisse containing the cutlet of the shark fin.

これは口直しで

梨の甲州煮が入った水茄子のすり流しです。

This boils the potage of a water eggplant, and a pear with grape syrup.
And a pear is boiled with grape syrup.

さて本日は昨日寸法を測った、

うどん鉢を一個作ってみました。

I made one Japanese noodles bowl today.

１７％大きくなるとこんな風になります。

This is the form which became large 17%.

明日はこれを50個作る予定です。

I am going to make 50 of these tomorrow.

秋刀魚の炙り刺しです。

白いのは汲み上げ湯葉。

秋刀魚の肝醤油で食べます。

These are the sliced raw fishes which grilled a little Pacific saury.
White food is fresh soy milk skin.
These are eaten with the soy sauce of the liver of Pacific saury.

さて、結局京焼ユニバーサルデザインの

うどん鉢の素地は私が作ることになりました。

I will make the Japanese noodles bowl of universal design after all.

そこでモデルの寸法を計測。

I measured the size of the model.

最終的に磁器は口径で１７％、

高さで１５％粘土の状態から収縮します。

Finally, porcelain is contracted 17% with a caliber and porcelain is contracted 15% in height.

この物差しは最初から１７％拡大してあります。

This ruler has been expanded 17% since the start.

先人の知恵ですね！

中にはカラシ蓮根が入っています。

This is potage of a Japanese pumpkin.
The contents of this soup are mustard lotus roots.

さて、私は来年のメゾン・エ・オブジェに作品を出品します。

Now, I am going to exhibit my work to Maison&Obje2011.

メゾン・エ・オブジェとはパリの見本市で、

インテリアのパリコレとも言われています。

Maison & object is interior Paris collection.

今回は私の知人からのお誘いですが、

企画は「豆皿　1000」です。

It is the invitation from my acquaintance this time.

This plan is "small plate  1000."

私の知人は今回日本各地の豆皿を1000枚

展示するつもりです。

My acquaintance is going to exhibit 1000 small plates of every place in Japan.

ちなみに私は四季の豆皿12枚出品予定です。

I am going to exhibit the small plate of 12 sheets of the four seasons.

豆皿がこれから大きく育つことを期待します。

I expect that small plates will grow up greatly.

鶏のセセリ焼き、明太子と南瓜のソース。

松田さん主催のお茶会へ行きました。

Now, I went to the tea ceremony of sponsorship of a classmate, Ms. Matsuda, of tea ceremony lesson today.

今日の掛け軸です。

書は裏千家坐忘斎御家元です。

It is today's hanging scroll.

Writing is Zabohsai oiemoto.

南山とは中国の壮大な山で、

よく目出度い例えに使われます。

この書の意味は

南山の如く長寿を祝うということです。

 Nanzan is a grand mountain in China.
The meaning of this hanging scroll is celebrating a long life like Nanzan.

何でも縁起が良いということはいいものです！！

Auspicious things are good things.

Chips of a Japanese pumpkin.

さて、今回ギロギロでご一緒した人は

ごく最近意気投合した人です。

（某大臣のパーティーで席が隣でした。）

Now, the person which I made supper together in Giｒo Giｒo this time is a person who got to know each other recently.

そして今回奥さんを連れて来られました。

 He was together with his wife.

私は食事の間、例によって私の身の上話をたっぷりしたのです。

I told my story of my life among the dinner.

10年前に裏千家の千玄室大宗匠と初めてお会いした時のこと等...。 

I told them the thing when I meet Dr.Genshitsu Sen of Urasenke for the first time ten years ago etc.

10年前のちょうどあの時期に私の家内は

「おもてなし」の講習会に行きました。

My wife went to hear the lecture of a reception ten years ago.

その時の講師は元日本航空のスチュアーデス（キャビンアテンダント）で、

人の第一印象の重要性を話されました。

The lecturer at that time was a former stewardess of Japan Airlines.
She explained the importance of the first impression.

講師曰く、人は初対面の人の性格を第一印象で決定してしまう。

その時間は僅か3秒です。

People determine the character of the person of the first meeting by the first impression.
The time is only 3 seconds.

私はその話を聞いていたので、大宗匠との初対面の時は

第一印象に注意を払いました。

Since I heard the talk, I was cautious of the first impression, when meeting Dr.Genshitsu Sen.

私の人生は3秒、いや0，3秒で変わると思ったのです。

I thought that my life changed in 3 seconds or 0.3 second.

そして私の人生は変わりました。

And my life changed.

今回のギロギロでの食事が終わった後

ご一緒した奥さんが私に次のように言われました。

When the dinner in Gilo Gilo finished, his wife told me the miraculous fact.

「10年前の元日航のスチュアーデスは私です。」............と。

"The former Japan Airlines stewardess of ten years ago is me."

「事実は小説よりも奇なり」ですね！！

今日は京焼のユニバーサルデザインの会合を開催しました。

I held the meeting of the universal design of Kyoto ceramic ware today.

この企画は始めてもう3年目になります。

This plan already becomes the 3rd year.

しかしながら、参加者は僅か！！！！

However, the participant was few.

 私はこのことを予期してました。

I expected this fact.

継続は力なり。

Continuation is power.

まだまだ頑張ったるで！！

I do my best still more.

私の知人の「富翁」の北川さんも参加されてました。

Mr. Kitagawa of the my acquaintance's Tomio had participated.

日本酒にマッチした料理も人気でした。

These are the dishes which matched sake.

ステージでは「東風」さんの演奏です。

There was a performance of "Tonfu" on a stage.

琴とギターのコラボレーション！

It is the collaboration of a koto and a guitar.

まさしく私が目指している和風モダンの世界です。

 This is the world of the  Japanese modern style which I aim at.

審査会に行きました。

I examined the photo contest of the regional vitalization of the south of Kyoto today.

ハイアットホテル内にあるチャペルです。

This is a chapel in the hotel.

地域が力を合わせること。

The area should pull together.

簡単なようで難しいことです。

However, it is difficult so that it may be easy.

でもそれをすることによって、我々の未来は築かれるのです。

But by performing it, we build our future.

（ちなみにたとえて言うなら、この釉薬は

　まさしく「巨人の星」の魔球のようなものです。

昨日は知人が新しくオープンさせたフレンチ・ビストロに行ってきました。

I went to the restaurant which my acquaintance opened.

その知人とはお酒のトミナガの御主人の七浦さんです。

The acquaintance is Mr. Nanaura of the liquor store (Tominaga).

そして今回のレストランのコンセプトはズバリ「フレンチ食堂」。

The concept of the restaurant is a "French dining-room."

鰆の炭火炙り、香草ソース。

The charcoal-fire grill of a Spanish mackerel, herb sauce.

フォアグラのテリーヌ。

Terrine of foie gras.

ホタテ貝柱のフライ。

Fried scallop.

御覧のように一皿の量がガッツリ入っています。

Much cuisine is on one plate.

もちろんトミナガさん経営なので、

ワインも美味しくてお手頃価格です。

Of course, wine is also delicious at a reasonable price.

春には外の景観の桜が美しくなりますよ。

生徒は私と裏千家国際セミナーで同期だった

黒岡さんの友人です。

The student is a friend of Ms. Kurooka who was my classmate at the Urasenke international seminar.  

彼女は美容師さんということで手先が器用でした。

Since she was a beautician, she was dexterous.

何事も才能、センスというものは重要です。

The talent is important.

しかしながら、才能×努力が一番重要です。

However, talent x efforts are the most important.

今日は京焼・清水焼の卸組合の見本市に行ってきました。

I went to the trade fair of the wholesale association of Kyoto ceramic ware and Kiyomizu ceramic ware today.

ここは私が所属している窯元の組合のブースです。

This is the booth of an association to which I belong.

今日は「料理と器」について

京料理人の講演会が開催されました。

The lecture meeting of the cook was held as today's event.

彼は「木乃婦」の高橋拓児さんです。

He is Mr. Takuji Takahashi of Kinobu.

高橋さんは最近は料理の素材を講釈を付けて

そのまま出す店が流行りだと言っていました。（自分はそんなことはしないという感じでした。）

He said that the restaurant from which only a material is taken out was fashion these days.

今日の木乃婦さんの点心です。

This is my lunch (Kinobu) of today.

以前高橋さんは私が企画した東京でのイベントに

協力してくれました。

Mr. Takahashi cooperated to the event in Tokyo which I planned before.

彼の料理は音楽に例えるとモダンクラシックです。

When his dish is compared to music, it is modern classical music.  

ギロギロの枝國さんの料理はJポップです。

The dish of Mr. Edakuni of Gilo Gilo is Japanese pop.

でも二人には共通点があります。

 But two persons have a common feature.

それは地元のお客さんを大切にすることです。

They are valuing a local visitor.

その証拠に彼らは色んな意味でミシュランの掲載を断っています。

In the proof ,They have refused Michelin's printing in various meanings.

私は新しい紺と紫の釉薬を開発中です。

I am developing new dark blue glaze and purple glaze.

気に入った色がなかなか出来ません。

The color with which I am pleased is not made.

今も実験中です。

I am still experimenting.

明日が楽しみです。

I am looking forward to tomorrow.

私はその司会をしました。

There was a recreational meeting for the aged of the area in which I live yesterday.
I presided at the event.

これは認知症予防のレクチュアーです。

There were about 80 participants.
It is a lecture of dementia prevention.

認知症予防には昨日の日記を書くと

効果があるそうです。

よって私は昨日の出来事を今日ブログに

書いています。

It is said that it is effective when yesterday's diary is written.
Therefore, I am writing yesterday's matter to the blog today.

小学生児童による作文の朗読です。

It is composition reading by the children of an elementary school.

保育園児による和太鼓の演奏です。

It is Japan's drum performance by the kindergartners of a nursery school.

私が敬老会に出席するまで、

あと20年25年？かかります。

It will be required for 20or25 more years until I participate in this event.

でも「光院矢のごとし」ですからね。

あっという間にその日がやって来るでしょう。

These are good sizes.

これらは鼈甲釉(茶色)と天目釉(黒)を掛けて焼成します。

These colors become brown and black.

今日「もみじまつり」の総会が開催されました。

The general meeting of the maple festival was held today.

そして私は新しい企画を提案し、承認されました。

２ 京都産の牛肉を使った、新メニューの販売。

　　（協力　祇園かにかくに、枝魯枝魯）

３だるま商店さんデザインのポスター製作。

積極的な出会いが独創的な企画を生み、

充実感のある人生を切り開いてくれるのでしょう。　

明日は「もみじまつり」の総会があります。

There will be a general meeting of a maple festival tomorrow.

面白い企画を考えているのですが、

80名の客が12組続きます。

12 sets of 80 visitors continue.

これは当日のシフト表です。

客もスケジュールが分かりとてもスムーズでした。

The visitor also found the schedule and was very smooth.

濃茶席です。

It is a seat of deep tea.

It is a seat of thin tea.

この水指は北大路魯山人作の鉢です。

This fresh water container is the bowl which Rosanjin made.

学校茶道のお席です。

It is the school tea ceremony.

特に美味しかった一品。

レンコンのすり身で作った料理です。

This is made from the ground lotus root.

私達陶芸家はしばしば焼物を製作するための道具を

自ら作ります。

We often make the tool for making pottery.

今回は皿に釉薬を掛ける道具を作りました。

I made the tool for applying glaze to a plate this time.

今日皿が綺麗に焼き上がりました。

 The plate was completed finely today.

この皿もハワイの店で使用します。

This plate is due to be used at the restaurant of Hawaii.

昨日の夜から金沢に来ています。

I am in Kanazawa from yesterday night.

昨日は姫路の陶芸家の塩中さんとa.k.aに飲みに行きました。

I went to drink with Mr. Shionaka of the ceramist of Himeji last night.
We went to a.k.a

そして今日は和倉温泉の加賀屋に行ってきました。

And I went to Kagaya of Wakuraonsen today.

千玄室大宗匠の講演会と懇親会に出席するためです。

It is for attending the lecture meeting and social gathering of Daisosho.

講演会は約１０００人、懇親会は約３５０人の参加者でした。

The lecture meeting was about 1000 participants, and social gatherings were about 350 participants.

ところで加賀屋さんと言えばおもてなし満足度ランキング日本一の旅館です。

Kagaya is a hotel of No.1 of Japan [ degree of satisfaction / reception ].

従業員の応対がすばらしいです。

Reception of employees is wonderful.

お見送りです。

It is a send-off in case we return.

今日は家内と二人で友人の展示会へ行きました。

I and my wife visited at our friend's exhibition today.

その友人は私の家内の高校時代の同級生です。

The friend is a classmate of the my wife's high school days.

そして彼女の夫は「おりん」を作る職人です。

Her husband is a craftsman who makes Rin.

彼女は「おりん」を売るコーディネーターです。

She is a coordinator who sells the Rin.

 彼女は携帯用の小さなKorinを考案しました。

She devised portable small Korin.

これら小さな「こりん」はお墓参りに行く時に使います。

These are used when we go to visit the grave.

「おりん」はそれぞれ音色が異なります。

そしてこれらの余韻は不思議な魅力があります。

職人による手作りは最高のものを作り出します。

These Rin(s) differ in a tone, respectively.
And these reverberations have a wonderful charm. Handmade [ by a craftsman ] makes the highest thing.

余談になりますが、

彼らは私たちの愛のキューピットでもあります。

Although it becomes a digression,
they are also Cupid of the love of the husband and wife, us.

今から２４年前、彼らが主催したクリスマスパーティーで私と妻は初めて出会いました。

They are also Cupid of our love.
I and my wife met for the first time 24 years ago in the Christmas party which they sponsored.

私たちは２４年間不思議な余韻に酔いしれています。

We are intoxicated by the wonderful reverberation for 24 years.

ランディーチャネルさんのケーキ屋さんが

京都駅中で出店しています。（期間限定）

Mr. Randall V. Channel's cake shop is opening a shop in the Kyoto station.

場所は地下鉄の改札口前です。

The place is in front of the ticket gate of a subway.

今日はランディーさんもいらっしゃいました。

There was Mr. Randall V. Channel today.

ランディーさんは裏千家の準教授です。

よって抹茶を使ったケーキが得意で美味しいです。

He is an associate professor of Urasenke.
Therefore, it is good at the cake using powdered green tea.

期間は９月１日～９月１５日までです。

A period is from September 1 to September 15.

（そういえばギロギロの枝國さんが言うには、

フランス人は抹茶を使ったデザートが苦手だそうです。

今度ランディーさんに「外国人と抹茶のデザート」について

聞いてみます。）

今年２回目の鮎パーティーが開催されました。

The party of the 2nd sweetfish was held this year.

以前からは成長して美味しそうになった天然の鮎です。

They are some natural sweetfish which grew and became delicious.

塩焼き。

Grilled with salt.

天婦羅。

Tempura.

これは「せごし」という鮎のお造りです。

This is the sliced raw fish of a sweetfish"Segoshi".

これは「たで酢」の蓼です。

なんと自家栽培です。

This is the "water pepper" of private cultivation.

超本格的！！

They are very full-scale.

それからお陰様で私の母の体調が回復してきました。

疲れた時の「はちみつレモン」。

結構効きますよ！！

私の母親がちょっとピンチです。

My mother is dangerous condition.

夏バテで一カ月で体重が５キロ減りました。

She lost 5kg of weight in one month.

私は今日母のために自家製のはちみつレモンを作りました。

I made honey and lemon mixed juice today for her.

はちみつの糖分とレモンのクエン酸が体に有効だと思ったからです。

I thought that sugar of honey and the citrate of lemon had an effect in her condition.

明日は私の手料理で元気を出してもらおうと思っています。

I plan to cook for her tomorrow.

（まだまだ道楽息子が心配だと言ってますが、さすがにこの暑さはこたえてます。）

東福寺保育園児たちの陶芸教室です。

It is the Tofukuji nursery schooler's ceramic art classroom.

私も東福寺保育園に行ってましたが、

当時のことはよく覚えています。

I had also gone to the Tofukuji nursery school.
I remember the thing of those days well.

今日のみんなもきっといい思い出が出来たことでしょう。

Probably, they are also that today's thing became good recollections.
